Healing Through Hip-Hop, Culture, and Connection
A 4-week therapy group for BIPOC youth ages 8–12 and 15–18 that uses hip-hop culture, creativity, and guided therapeutic support to build confidence, emotional expression, coping skills, and connection.

At Sommerville Wellness, MHC, our Hip-Hop Therapy Group provides a culturally affirming and engaging mental health experience for BIPOC youth. This group blends therapeutic support with hip-hop culture, creative expression, reflection, and discussion in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
WHAT IS HIP-HOP THERAPY?
Hip-Hop Therapy is a strengths-based approach that uses elements of hip-hop culture to support emotional wellness, self-expression, and connection.
Participants engage in:

- Journaling and reflection

- Identity-centered conversations

Ages 8–12:
